About me

Hi! My name's Murray. I'm a website and mobile app designer based in Birmingham, UK.

If you're reading this you're one of a small percentage of people who read about us pages (or about me in this case!). I'm also the kinda person who reads about us pages. So we'll probably get along well.

My career so far has been varied. I have a PhD from the University of Birmingham in geophysics, where I did a lot of mathematical modelling of volcanoes and oil & gas deposits. I then moved into Tech where I work currently. I'm a full stack JavaScript developer, which means I build basically anything you can image on the internet or on a website. I also have a lot of experience in Python and R, which makes me pretty handy at data science, machine learning and data analysis. Finally, I work in cloud environments for work, and so have experience in DevOps and Amazon Web Services (AWS). I'm actually just about to take the first AWS certificate exam, wish me luck...
